Lafayette Instrument Co. Acquires Limestone Technologies

The Lafayette Instrument Company of Lafayette, Indiana, the U.S. government’s main supplier of polygraph instruments, has acquired Canadian polygraph manufacturer Limestone Technologies of Kingston, Ontario. Lafayette announced the acquisition in a 22 August 2022 post on its website:

Lafayette Instrument Co. is pleased to announce its acquisition of Limestone Technologies on August 12, 2022.

Both Lafayette Instrument and Limestone Technologies have decades of experience serving the credibility assessment community and expect a seamless integration.

Jennifer Rider, President of Lafayette Instrument Company said, “We are very pleased to bring these two companies together to achieve our collective potential and maximum effectiveness and efficiency for the benefit of our customers.”

As a result of this acquisition, Lafayette Instrument expands its credibility assessment staff, product line, and market reach to continue providing the best solutions and service available in the industry.

In 2017, Limestone Technologies acquired the Backster School of Lie Detection, a polygraph school founded by the late Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Backster (1924-2013) in 1959.

In 2016, Lafayette announced its launch of a polygraph school in Florida called the Peak Credibility Assessment Training Center.
