On Wednesday, 18 June 2008, both Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who claims that in 1999 he performed oral sex on, and used cocaine with, then Illinois legislator Barack Obama and Dan Parisi’s WhiteHouse.com, which arranged for a polygraph examination of Mr. Sinclair, will be holding press conferences at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The polygraph was conducted on Friday, 22 February 2008 by Edward I. Gelb of Los Angeles and reviewed by Gordon H. Barland of Salt Lake City. There are two reasons that the test results would come back computer vs human opposite one another – The algorithms for the computer are insufficient (very likely) and when tested in trials studies show that a human picks up on many additional clues in the test beside what the test itself is designed to identify and the polygrapher subconsciously includes those in their result evaluations.
