Does an applicant who was rejected for a TS/SCI clearance due primarily to derogatory infoirmation gathered during a BI have any legal recourse?

I reviewed my file from the wonderful CIA, pursuant to a Privacy Act request which I had made.

During the BI, it appears that a number of individuals interviewed (none authorized or suggested by me to be contacted) made derogatory (and largely inaccurate) comments about me.
Is there any legal recourse against the individuals involved?

Of course, as I've learned now, the BI is little more than a popularity contest, and a concerted effort to dig up dirt. >:(
What do we call it when every employee of the Agency's Office of Security
and Office of Personnel drowns in the Potomac?   A great beginning!

The best intelligence community employee is a compromised IC employee!
