Not strictly related to polygraphs, but has anyone here ever requested his or her FBI file? According to the Freedom of Information Act it can be done and it's perfectly legal. If you have requested your files, how difficult was it and how interesting was the information on your file?

PS: I bet the FBI has a huge file on you Mr Maschke!

I requested and received my file nearly a decade ago. All the information in it was related to my 1995 application for employment as a special agent. The file was incomplete--the FBI claimed it could not locate my polygraph charts. In addition, the names of all but the most senior FBI employees were redacted, even from letters that I had written to the FBI and that had been placed in my file.
