hi there. i decided to come here and voice my hate for the poly.

it has been over 2 years since i did my poly and i have begun to start thinking about everything about that whole situation again for some reason.

ill spare details, but i was accused of doing something i did not do. police wanted a poly, my lawyer said not to do a police and set me up with a private.

long story short i "failed" the poly. i didnt get it. i was telling the truth but i failed somehow. needless to say i was very high strung and anxious prior to and after being falsely accused and all. i mean who wouldnt be anxious if they were accused of something they didnt do.

dont know any details of it but, nothing happened to me (perhaps lack of evidence or compelling evidence in my favor i dont know but the truth obviously came out)

that poly really made me feel horrible for a long time. it really made me feel horrible and that whole entire incident in my life has scarred me for my whole life and i dont know if ill ever be "normal" again.

during my "ordeal" i lurked here and saw that its not just "maybe hes lying" or "its a false positive", the polygraph is an unscientific piece of shit.

the machine only measures physiological repsonses, not deciete or lies. anyone about any question can potentially cause this thing to produce a wrong answer. if your bodys reacting a certain way and your asked whats your name and you reply truthfully i can possibly produce a "lie" response. anything can produce physiological changes, not just lies.

yes i believe police polygraphs are there to lie to you and get you to confess rather than "help you out"

anyway, i just wanted to voice along my hatred for polygraph machines that cannot possibly determine if someones lying or not.
