Does anyone know if taking antidepressants hurts your chances of getting accepted to the CIA?  My father passed away about one year ago, after several years of battling cancer.  Not long after that, I moved out to Maryland.  In order to cope with the stress I went back on antidepressants, after having been on and off them during high school when he was first diagnosed.

I've never been depressed to the point of being non-functional, and I've always known when I need some extra help.

Any advice?  Am I pretty much out, or do I have a chance?

I highly doubt that antidepressants would be a three-strike your out reason.

I'm pretty sure it is actually illegal to deny employment based on that, and additionally there are already a lot of people, like you, who take antidepressants.  They were hired and work at intel agencies with no problem whatsoever.
