Not A Pass Or Fail?

I took my polygraph today and at the conclusion my polygrapher asked me about two questions of concern to him.  I explained the best I could about the questions, but never admitted to anything else, because I had told the truth to begin with.  Both questions were of the "Other than what you have told me" variety.

His questioning lasted for a short time and then he told me that it wasn't pass or fail.  He explained to me about where to go to get fingerprinted, and then said we were done.  He then walked me to the exit, and wished me good luck.

I am a little confused about what had happened.  I didn't understand why it wasn't a pass or fail polygraph.  How should I interpret how my polygraph went?

It may mean that he has to confer with his peers.  To see if the chart squigglies are "within acceptable parameters".

IOW, they have to further examine the tea leaves or consult their "spirit guides", before pronouncing judgement.  They may even have to consult with the chief witch doctor.
