Hi, I was wondering what the CIA medical exam entails? I have a pretty bad needle phobia and have a really hard time giving blood. Do they draw blood at all? From your arm? Or just a finger poke? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have another quick question. I have controlled asthma, is that going to be a problem? I'm not applying to a field agent position. Thanks again.

I hope you are applying for some type of analyst position, as you seem very fragile. One need only look at some fiercely independent disabled people to see what courage and fortitude looks like. If they didn't take you because of asthma, than you should be asking yourself if you LET your asthma get in the way. Really, you should toughen up. No one ejoys being stuck with needles, and a person could go as far as say that we all have a very natural fear of needles. We just bite our lip and buck up. Are you reading me?

ps If your polygraph countermeasure are anything less than perfection, needles and asthma will be your least of worries. Your permenant file will show that you aren't trustworthy of even a post office courier.
