I just thought everyone would get a kick out of this. It's a supposed counter-measure detection system that claims to be able to detect MENTAL (and physical) counter-measures. HAHA. What BS. Everyone take a look:

It's not surprising that the ad page says nothing concrete about how the system works, what "waves" are, or how it could be that the polygrapher emits some form of wave just as the subject does.  If the last be true, then the advert just admitted that polygraphers can affect the results of a test by their, um, vibes. (lol)

Apparently, this thing is supposed to use some form of algorithm to measure, well, whatever it measures.  Unless it's a full EEG, it's nothing but a scam, and it probably would be anyhow...
Polygraphers escaped from among the evils of Pandora's box, which might have been an old analog polygraph... only God can tell whether you're lying or not, and He will judge you in His own time...

I'm in full agreement Cesium. It literally sounds like they're talking about some magic trick or something--these "secret waves" that allow them to tell what you're thinking about with your counter-measures. hahaha. it's so laughable.

The amguity of it all is just ridiculous. And even if they were using a full EEG, it'd still not work. I went to a conference on neuroimaging and lie detectors and though they supposedly show "promise," at this point all the professors that I spoke to say it's just as much BS as the polygraph at this point.

This gizmo is evidently based on the U.S. patent awarded to Emmanuel Cohen, for prior discussion of which see:
