How long are records kept?

I took a polygraph test in 1993 for a private company that contracted the test to another private company.  Do you think the polygraph company would still have a copy of my test results? Or do you think the file was discarded after a few years?  What is the normal practice?  Thanks.

Some states have licensing laws that specify a minimum number of years that private polygraphers must maintain records. But I don't think any specify a period as long as ten years. Nonetheless, if the records were entered into a computer database, it would be a trivial matter to keep a permanent record of all examinations.
