I believe I have to take a poly for a DoD civillian company. In the application I filed out it said they require all applicants to get a top secret clearance.

Is the information in the DoDPI book posted here the typical test they issue.

Is this the standard or guidelines they have to go by?

Anyone ever take a test for a civillian government company that requires a poly as part of a BI?

The Department of Defense uses a counterintelligence-scope polygraph screening format known as the Test for Espionage and Sabotage (TES). This technique is discussed in The Lie Behind the Lie Detector and also in my article, "The Lying Game: National Security and the Test for Espionage and Sabotage."

You should be aware that almost everyone passes the TES. It seems the only way to "fail" is to make a substantive admission. For more on this, see How to Pass the DoD CI-Scope Polygraph.
