The following is an excerpt from Louis J. Freeh's recent Congressional testimony:

FISCAL YEAR 2002 APPROPRIATIONS FOR FBI AND DEA

REP. KENNEDY: ... Do you believe that FBI agents should be subject to polygraph tests?

MR. FREEH: Yes, sir. They all are.

REP. KENNEDY: Who is subject to the polygraph? All of them?

MR. FREEH: Every new employee in the FBI, since 1994.

REP. KENNEDY: Have you been polygraphed since you've been FBI director?

MR. FREEH: No.

REP. KENNEDY: Do you plan to submit to a polygraph test before you resign?

MR. FREEH: One is scheduled.

REP. KENNEDY: Okay. Thank you. I'll yield back the balance of my time.

Note that there are two Kennedys in the House of Representatives. The one who questioned Director Freeh is Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy, (D-RI).
