On Wednesday, 25 April 2001, the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary will be holding an open hearing on "Issues Surrounding the Use of Polygraphs." The hearing will be held in Room 226 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

(I will be attending this hearing; if anyone would care to link up at the hearing, please contact me by e-mail to coordinate.)

Now is an ideal time to contact your senators (especially if he/she is one of the 18 members of the Judiciary Committee) to voice your support for polygraph reform. Call (don't e-mail) your senators and voice your support for a Comprehensive Polygraph Protection act that would eliminate the governmental and other exemptions of the 1988 Employee Polygraph Protection Act.

In addition, you can fax a statement to the Judiciary Committee and request that it be accepted into the hearing record. The Committee's fax number is (202) 224-9102.
