So I had a polygraph that I was extremely worried about. I used a few Vertu very minor cms during it. I did not admit to anything incriminating at all throughout the pre or post test.

I the polygrapher explained the scaling/"heading" system and said there were no noticeable deceptions on my part and that he will mark me as a pass.

My question is, can he just tell me I passed and that there were no deceptions? Ie. Can I actually fall, have him tell me I passed, then he tells his contractee that I failed and I suffer the punishment for what I've done wrong?

It is standard polygraph practice to make an accusation of deception and conduct a post-test interrogation when the charts are scored as "deception indicated." It would be unusual for a polygraph operator to tell the examinee that he or she passed but to then report the result as a failure.
