NOT HAPPY

I recently took the TEA exam for the Secret Service. While I was well prepared for the exam, I was'nt prepared for the lady who administered it. First, it was only her and I in a large room. She sat directly across from me at a conferecnce table and tried her absolute best to break my concentraton throughout the exam. She cracked her knuckles, talked on the phone, twice, walked around the room repeatedly, watched the figuring I did on my scratch paper during the math portion and literally stared at me and watched everything I did throughout the entire exam. I know you have to be good under pressure to be a Special Agent, but I was'nt prepared for her AND the exam. Was this just a bad experience or is this standard practice? I've talked to some other people who have taken the exam and they could'nt believe what I told them. Anyone out there who could help me out I'd appreciate it. If I failed the exam, I will take it again and I'll be ready for her this time.

GUEST

I took the TEA by myself with just the admin assistant administering it, and she was extremely quiet, sat behind me out of view and was incredibly polite and helpful.

As with anything, luck of the draw I guess.  Hope you passed - and I hop emy poly goes as well as my TEA!

Some people just like to make themselves more important than they really are.  The person who gave you the exam is nothing more than HR assitant or someone at that level.  The person who administered my exam wasnt too bright either.  If its a person in a higher level, then its a waste of human resources just for a person to administer an exam.

You shouldnt assume they did this on purpose to see how well you do under pressure, its a simple story incompetance.  TEA is a simple reading and math exam and like any exam requires a quiet testing environment.  I thought that there was a form that is signed to confirm your testing environment was reasonable? or maybe it was the FBI exam? I cant remember.
