Is it just me, or has activity on this board dropped of drastically? Many people are reading, as I usually see 4 to 8 guests on at a time. Some are even registering. But little content is being posted by regulars. Are we all caught up in the war, etc or is there just not that much going on?

Activity on this board has indeed dropped of sharply. One factor may be our move to new servers; during the transition, the board was unavailable, in some cases for several days, as our new location was propagated among DNS servers. The move also coincided roughly with our invasion of Iraq. Personally, I'm devoting less time to polygraph issues as I follow news of the war, and I suspect others are doing the same.

Dear orolan,

If any reader were to read all of the threads they would find almost 99.99% of any possible questions answered.  Many times we just rehash old topics with a new spin.

There is a huge amount of information and discussion already on file for public viewing which has quickly, like it or not, become a lightning rod for people looking for uncensored arguments both for and against polygraph usage.

I have recieved many private e-mails from newly registered users who need information but do not want to get into public discussions.

I can normally direct them to previous postings which answer almost all of their questions with a little clarification.

Posting activity does not necessarily indicate how much information is getting to the public from this site.

Regards.

Fair Chance,

I had not thought of that. Good to have a member like you that can properly direct those in need of help. Kudos.

I have to agree with Fair Chance and George alike...although I am relatively new to posting here, I have read thousands (yes...thousands) of postings and every time I think of a new question, I seem to stumble across the debate somewhere within these threads. And, as George mentioned, the initiation of the war and the increased attention it has received has taken me away from the site more than usual lately. Unfortunately, I feel like I have learned (or at the minimum) been exposed to just about every aspect of the polygraph arena (pro & con) because of this very website - and for that, I thank each and every contributor (from George to Batman, Beechtrees to Torpedo, Fair Chance, Steincj, Skeptic, Drew, Orolan - and a whole host of other identified and anonymous guests that have posted here. The down side is that I find myself needing to come back less and less...
