I had a polygraph for a certain agency and I took it in a city 3 hours away, It was an 8 hour test and I didn't make it past the first section. Well it came back inconclusive and one week later they asked me to come do another one....Well this time I am traveling 7 hours to do the polygraph. I had a buddy of mine who used to be CBPO tell me that they did this to him and he personally witnessed this when he worked for them. This is to test the candidates loyalty and willingness to do whatever they have to do to get the job.

"They wanna see how far you'll go to get the position. They are testing you"

is this a real thing that Homeland Security does? Please give me your insight, or if this happened to any of you?

This "certain agency" wouldn't be DHS by any chance, would it?

I don't know about DHS, but my alphabet agency says that people  fail (though they get upset when you use plain English like that) and get retested all the time.
