I've read Ch 3 and 4 in TLBTLD a few times.  Would it be prudent to practice your countermeasures at a drug store blood pressure machine?  Would that give you any indication if what youre doing is working for mental CMs?

Secondly, to build on a post I read from a few posts back, what kind of advice is there to build a rapport with your polygraph examiner?  Does pretending to be in awe of their "superhuman" abilities help make you look more like an easy mark?   TLBTLD wasn't clear to me, it seemed there like an indifferent approach is best?

I don't think that a blood pressure monitor will be particularly helpful because the arm cuff used in polygraph "testing" doesn't measure blood pressure. To monitor blood pressure, the cuff must be deflated. But the cuff in the polygraph is not deflated, rather, it's kept inflated throughout the entire chart collection. It's not clear exactly what it's measuring, but it's not blood pressure, and there is no medical application that involves the sort of measurement done by polygraph operators.

For starters, you can be punctual and well-kempt, smile, make eye contact, and be respectful.

By the way, CBP is using a new screening format that involves directed-lie "control" questions, so identifying the "control" questions will be dirt simple. You can read more about CBP's polygraph screening technique, called the "Test for Espionage, Sabotage, and Corruption" or "TES-C" here:
