I already have an intelligence job in the military with a TS clearance (did not require a polygraph), and I want to get out and work for NSA, CIA, or FBI. I tried marijuana once 4 years ago but it was while in the military. Does anyone know how an agency would take this? I'm afraid that since I was in the military when I tried drugs that they will be much less forgiving.

Very likely, since the military imposes a total ban on use of illicit substances. :-[
What do we call it when every employee of the Agency's Office of Security
and Office of Personnel drowns in the Potomac?   A great beginning!

The best intelligence community employee is a compromised IC employee!

..........unless your father or mother is a flag rank military officer, senior SES level government civilian or politician.  They might make an exception in such cases.

You might see if Gen. Petraeus needs a new mistress and/or biographer.  That would resolve your situation perfectly! lol  :)

Or if you can get the President to nominate you as DCI or DDCI.  Those two Agency officials are exempted from being polygraphed. :)

True.  If they ever were polygraphed, however, they would be NDI every time.
