I am a student that failed the FBI pre-employment polygraph for an internship position. I requested my polygraph results through a privacy act request, and I was informed that my request would probably take 475 days. Is it just me, or does that seem like an excessive amount of time?

Unfortunately, neither a false positive result on a polygraph screening exam nor a 1 to 2 year wait for a full response to a FOIPA request (submitted by the average person in the lay public) are surprising.

When you do receive that response, it will likely contain less information (i.e., likely be highly redacted) than you would like or need to answer the questions you now have.  Good luck...
