Yes, the test is frequently used in court by court-appointed clinical psychologists.

Hi to all!!

Question 1:
When is it OK for a Psychologist to use MMPI-2
question books with other people's answers marked
in it?

Question 2:
In the same test, is it OK for a Psychologist to then
limit the test to 400 questions instead of 567, even
when that violates the CS scale limit of 30??

Question 3:
In the same matter, how stupid does Dr Nitza
Perlman
have to be to miss schizophrenia in a
disabled woman and fail to even do DSM-IV ?  Thus
denying her treatment ??
It was left to this layperson to do an MMPI-2 on her
and then bring her to Centre for Addiction and Mental
Health (CAMH) in Toronto Canada for treatment.  The
CAMH report corroborates schizophrenia, (paranoid
type) found by me!!!

Surpisingly, Dr Nitza Perlman of Toronto,
Canada in her Answer to the College of Psychologists
of Ontario claims she always does only 400 questions
and "gets good results".  Duh!!  She also admits the
MMPI-2 book was marked up but says it does not
make any difference!! She also claims she was not
required to assess the mental condition of a disabled
woman!! WTF??

NOT surprisingly, she is paid with Tax Dollars to do this
sh*tty job!!!

>> any comments or ideas out there??

Are ANY of you Doctors out there ashamed yet of
your fellow Moron Dr Nitza Perlman of Toronto,
Canada??  Go ahead, call her and congratulate her
for being the biggest Butcher ever !!

HEY! what do I know anyway? I'm only a techie that
worked for NRC, Fermilab and NASA in the 70's and 80's !!
Since then I was responsible for CANDU reactor QA,
yeah, I don't get to screw up. I don't know how to
work to a standard as low as a PhD who F's Up a
monkey test!!

Thanks!

The MMPI is perhaps the most widely used personality test. There is tons of research on its validity and reliability. Yes, this test also checks for malingering. Things that can influence the results are, including but not limited to, your frame of mind when you take the test (such as angry, happy, annoyed), fatigue, trying to look better over being honest, and the interpretation of the psychologist evaluating the test results. It is entirely possible to get differing results on the same test taken at different times because of these factors alone. One note on malingering, think of the possibility that you are caught malingering: do you think they want a dishonest cop?

I didn't get hired at a job because my results came back not recommended. It was for a security officer position with g4s. However I am security forces member with the Air force and carry firearms all the time. I think you can over read the questions and be to smart for the test.

Quote from: salteigne on Jul 29, 2011, 01:22 PMHere is  the 15 items of the scale "lie" you MUST answer true
16. Once in a while I think of things too bad to talk about.
29. At times I feel like swearing.
41. I do not always tell the truth.
51. I do not read every editorial in the newspaper every day.
77. Once in a while I put off until tomorrow what I ought to do today.
93. Sometimes when I am not well I am irritable.
102. I get angry sometimes.
107. My table manners are not quite as good at home as when I am out in company.
123. If I could get into the movies without paying and be sure I was not seen, I would probably do it.
139. I would rather win than lose in a game.
153. I like to know some important people because it makes me feel important.
203. I gossip a little at times.
232. Sometimes in elections, I vote for people about whom I know very little.
260. Once in a while, I laugh at a dirty joke.

It take me a lot of hours to list this "lie scale" so if you have
"tips" to succes this fu**** test please give me

I agree with answering True to all of the above, with the exception of #123 about sneaking into the movies without paying and getting away with it.   That's an honesty and character issue, that is stealing... I would answer false on this one for me, because honestly, I would not do that.

imnotcrazyimnotcrazy

In that case I ought to do OK on the test for the 'lie' part of it. I have other flaws like anyone else but I think most truthful people would answer yes to those except maybe the movie theft one - -however, consider if you have ever downloaded a movie from the internet, or watched one that you know was downloaded wrongfully. I don't know what 'drop the handkerchief' is and don't remember if I ever played it. I guess I better look it up, and see if I like(d) it or not. That's the thing with tests, they ask you things you either do not understand or don't know.
