Don't agree to take a polygraph.  Cite the information on this website to show that "passing" a polygraph is no guarantee that you were truthful, and "failing" a polygraph" is no guarantee that you were deceptive.

Have your significant other watch the recent episode of Penn & Teller "Bullshit!" on Showtime for additional information.
