Polygraph not mentioned on application?

hey guys, I am applying to 2 different departments to become a police officer. One of my applications is from a big city, and it states that I will need to take to polygraph. But on my other application from a local small department, it says nothing about a polygraph. does that mean they they probably wont give me one or what? thanks.
