So are You supposed to have a HIGH response on the machine for all non relevant questions or just the ones that may be lies? for example

if they ask   " becides what weve discused have you ever stole?" I may say yes (speaking the truth) because im sure ive stolen "time" from employers or stole a pen or somthing small i cant think of. SO even though im telling the truth do i still creat a response with the countermeasures?

I mean a question like " is the ski blue" do I do a countermeasure?

Basically do i do a counter measure on TRUE non relavent questions

Please see Chapter 4 of The Lie Behind the Lie Detector for a detailed explanation of polygraph countermeasures, including on what questions they should be applied:

Just curious "nicks", what makes you feel you need to employ      countermeasures to pass your test?

Also, what makes you feel confident enough to use them?

Why not just be honest?

Nicks ,
Though I don't suggest lying to get a job, Sackett's suggestion that simply telling the truth will assure you a pass result is a LIE and he knows it.
I told the truth on mine and FAILED as did "Sargeant"(and many others) a poster on here to the tune of 4 truthfull polygraphs and 3 fails! You can read his posts for more info.

Nicks, be aware that the polygraph is a test designed to be used on ignorant subjects.  If you know how the test really works, you are no longer ignorant and all bets are off as to how accurate the exam will be on you.  Of course, if you're posting here, it's probably already too late for you.  Too bad for you.
Is former APA President Skip Webb evil or just stupid?

Is former APA President Ed Gelb an idiot or does the polygraph just not work?

Did you know that polygrapher Sackett doesn't care about detecting deception to relevant questions?

I am also curious.  I dont believe there is any information on exactly how to answer those questions.  It only states what the examiner EXPECTS you to answer, not what you should answer.

Thanks again!
