Are these control questions?

I have gone through the 162 question exam that the rcmp gives and have tried to identify all of the control questions. Can some people take a look at some of these and tell me if you agree that these are control questions? How can I be 100% sure that a question is actually a control question...I would hate to increase my heart rate to a question they think is relevant.  Also, in the pre-exam we will discuss all of these questions, is there any way to predict which questions I will be "hooked up" for? Thanks!

Here are the questions I think are control questions:

Do you know of any reason why you should not
be hired as a police officer?

Have you ever lied to a supervisor on a job
related matter?

Have you ever cheated on any form of
examination or plagiarized another person's
work (includes both education and/or
employment)?

Have you ever been intoxicated?

Have you ever driven when you knew you had
too much to drink?

Have you ever operated any motorized vehicle
or vessel while under the influence of alcohol?

What is the worst thing you have ever done as a
result of drinking alcohol?

Have you ever purchased any illegal drugs?

Have you ever been in a place where
illegal/illicit drugs were being used?

Have you ever misused any pharmaceutical
(prescription) drugs?

Are you withholding any information concerning
your involvement with illegal/illicit drugs?

Are you withholding any information concerning
your involvement with pharmaceutical
(prescription) drugs?

Have you ever been verbally abusive
(intimidation, bullying etc.)?

Have you ever been involved in a physical
altercation of any kind?

What is the worst thing anyone is going to say
you have done to them?

Have you ever illegally obtained, sold or given
away software?

Have you ever committed an illegal sexual act?

Have you ever accessed, received or sent, child
pornography on the Internet? (The accessed part many people have by accident)

Have you ever done anything for which you
could have been arrested?

Have you ever shoplifted?

Have you ever stolen anything, including
money?

Have you ever stolen anything, or any money,
from a previous or present employer?

Have you ever damaged anyone else's
property?

What is the most serious undetected crime you
have ever been involved in?

Understood. These are questions from the actual test.  They ask all 162 questions in the pre-test, and then select from these to actually give the polygraph with. The reason I ask specifically about these questions is because some of these will actually be the questions I am asked. Thanks.

Hi all, the only part of the RCMP poly I am worried about is the sexual activity part. I am a bit a of a exibitionist/voyeur at times....just minor...I have never walked around naked in public or anything, but because of the "weirdness" of it I don't want to disclose it. There is a question near the beginning of this section, it is "Have you ever engaged in any illegal sexual activity". Is this a control question? There are more specific questions after this like "Have you videotaped someone elses sexual activity without them knowing" and "Have you ever exposed yourself in public" which are relevant questions I assume. And of course there are the rape and drugging someone questions which are obviously relevant. Can anyone talk about this from experience? Thanks.

This man has stated he wants to hide deviant sexual behaviors, and then proceeds to ask if the above questions are relevant.  GM puts in a quote from his book telling this man not to analyze the questionnaire and then study question types at AP.    GM you have stated previously that you tell people not to lie and you know this man is here in attempts to learn how to manipulate his polygraph so he can hide his deviant behaviors 'weirdness'.   There is nothing in his post that states he will tell the truth to the Polygraph Examiner or the Background Investigator.   You know he is going to lie and you are encouraging him to read TLBTLD.  

This kind of reminds me of some posts from yesterday from Sancho Panza.

I have no idea if the OP is intending to lie about anything, and I have no idea if his sexual activity includes anything criminal.  I'm curious as to how you came to the instant conclusion that he practices deviant sexual behaviors and is planning to lie about it.

Sure I did.  Did you?

What does the OP consider voyeurism and being an exhibitionist?  I have no idea and neither do you.  You could be right and he could be committing crimes, but you could also be wrong and he could consider voyeurism to be watching pornographic movies.  The point is that you don't know, but you feel free to use a term like "deviant sexual behaviors."  And it is clear from your post to me that you have already concluded he has committed crimes.

What does that mean?  I don't know and neither do you.  But you certainly seem willing to label him as a sexual deviant when you cannot possibly know if he is or not.

Just to be clear, I have no idea what this person's sexual habits are, and I have no idea if he has broken the law.  Because I have insufficient information about his activities, I have not labeled him or reached any conclusions.  I think that is the most reasonable way to handle this and all similar matters.

Sir, I would not think that the above behaviours are anything but normal amongst well adjusted humans. If there is one amongst us whom has never copulated outdoors, he/she has my sincerest sympathy.
