Q's regarding "control" Q's

I'm confused about CM and "control" questions. Do you answer these truthfully and employ CM's? Or untruthfully and employ CM's?

it doesnt matter if you tell the truth or not. the purpose of the CM is to produce a reaction and thats what matters.
