Questions

I recently took my first polygraph for a LE agency and failed because the examiner said I reacted to two of the questions.  Now, I had done alittle research before the exam but i wasn't really worried because countless poeple told me if I just tell the truth i'll be fine.  Well, I now know that is not the case.  Prior to the exam I read about the types of questions which would be used during the test which include irrelavant, relevant, and control questions.  I understood that if you wish to employ countermeasures you seek out the control questions and alter your autonomic responses to create a more truthful chart.  The problem was that during my exam I wasn't asked any questions which could have been contrued as control questions.  There was not one question which which was  vague, spanning or sweeping also there wasn't any direct-lie either.  I regonized 4 or 5 irrelevant questions but no control questions.  At the time of the exam I wasn't really worrying about it because I thought that if I justed stayed calm and answered truthfully I would do fine.  But, now I wish that I used the information I read about to employ countermeasures.  My question now is was it possible for the examiner to conduct the exam without the use of control questions and how might I use countermeasures on this type of test.
