If I have signed the waiver that the P.D. requires to obtain personal employent information does it allow previous employers to slander me.  I think a previous employer is supplying information about me that I didn't even know existed.  what can I do???  I live in Ca. does anyone know if they can pull that crap....

by signing the form provided by the police department you are in essence relieving anyone who provides information about you from any liability.

Also, many police departments add that you will not be able to find out the information provided by any employers or people interviewed about you on the same form.

I am not a lawyer, so I do not know what you could do about that situation in California.   But for the most part I really think there isn't much that can be done about it.
