OK I APPLIED FOR POLICE DPT IN SO CALI,

ON MY APPLICATION THEY ASKED HAVE YOU EVER BEEN FIRED ON A JOB?

I SAID YES

If i would have not even mentioned i EVER had that particuar job would they have ever known? So what im saying is can they find out what jobs ( legal jobs that pay in check) you had in the past if you dont list them?

THEN THEY ASKED ME HAVE YOU EVER STOLE FROM YOU EMPLOYER?

I asked for an explanation whihc was vague so i just told them " look i worked at mdconalds at the age of 16 and when a picky customer would all of the sudden change their mind and want a refund for an untouched food item ( such as burgers) or if they said no cheese at the last minute and the buger was already made YEA I KEPT THOSE FOODS, why should i waste food and throw it away even it was policy?

Is that considered stealing? In a poly exam should i say yes if asked that?

Some dept's request infor from the IRS and I believe they can go back as far as 2 years.  THey can also uncover this info by talking to previous employers and or receiving a copy of a application for one of your previous employers where you more than likely put down your jobs.

Whether you believe it or not is was still theft.  Be honest and explain it to them and explain that it was a long time ago and has not happened since.

If I can give you any advice it is to be as truthful and forthcoming as possible.
