LEOhopeful,

You are getting great advice from anxietyguy and Dimas. I concur with their comments about straightening up.

You are still young and can plan for a great future in LE. Do heed Dimas advice and continue your education. This will make you a much more viable candidate then a 21 year old with a HS diploma. Remember knowledge is power, and your education will carry you a long way in law enforcement.

Good Luck

Fred F.  ;)

Relax,  finish High School, go to college, take some Criminal Justice courses or even finish your degree and then make the decision about what you want to be.

Stay away from drugs PERMANENTLY and you will most likely be fine.

Worry about being a kid right now. Stop smoking dope and you will be fine. Keep you nose clean and find a good group of people to hang out with that don't do drugs. Your peers offer a portrait of what kind of person your are by associating with them. I know how tough peer presure can be in High School.

well ive wanted to be a cop my whole life ever since i was real young sitting on my dads lap watching Cops. i went to a very strict private school up to high school. then when i was thrust into a public high school, i got a little stupid. my grades started dropping, i smoked some pot, and at one point ran away and was picked up by the local PD a week later. but ive decided that i want to straighten out my life and get my goals back in order. i havent smoked in over 6months, fixing my grades. im now only 17 and itll be 4 more years until i join a pd. is all this juvinielle stupidity gonna come back to bite me in the ass and keep me out of a department or are departments understanding of the stupid things we do as kids?
