As polygraph critic Dr. Alan P. Zelicoff, M.D. has noted, "there are no guidelines, textbook chapters, or review articles in any medical, psychology or psychiatry journal that describe medical contra-indications to the polygraph."

For detailed information on the simplistic methodology behind polygraphy, and for tips on reducing the risk of a false positive outcome, see chapters 3 and 4 of The Lie Behind the Lie Detector.

Would having high blood pressure play any factor into a polygraph exam results?  And if so, if one was on prescribed meds for the high blood pressure, would that interfere as well?  Has anyone else taken a poly while having high blood pressure?  Any info would be helpfull, got a poly next week!!
