Should I continue my application to the PD or is this situation going to look bad for me if/when I do?  I’m fully prepared to explain the situation in the interview when it comes up (which it surely will). The only thing I am guilty of is using bad judgment when it came to a casual sexual encounter but unfortunately it is my word against hers. I did not need to seek legal council after this because as far as I know the investigation was dropped (although nobody informed me of this).  I never actually hired the lawyer (my father and I went to him and his advice was the “free initial consultation”). If I apply to the PD will they restart an investigation and will I once again have the same emotional headaches and have to seek legal council?  Does anybody know what will happen in a situation such as this?  I know this is a site about polygraphy but I saw this section in the forum on police hiring procedures and thought I’d try to get some advice here (perhaps by a police officer or somebody who might have had something happen like this). Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Although a career in law enforcement is something I’ve always wanted, I just don’t know if I should bother at all.
