Your logic is puzzling at best and specious at worst. I passed the polygraph because I manipulated my baseline breathing pattern and physiological responses to mimic those breathing patterns and physiological responses you boys (for whatever reason) think indicates non-deception. I beat you at your own game. And you know what? Looking back on it, it was easy. If a plunker like me can do it, imagine what a highly motivated spy, terrorist, or the like could do. It's just a shame we entrust such matters to men like you.

When will your profession be held accountable for the consistent lies you make about the accuracy of the polygraph? I look forward to that day,

As I understand it, you used countermeasures on a polygraph exam that you took for some reason.  I am assuming the polygraph was a pre-employment exam (if I'm wrong please correct me).  Were you answering truthfully during the course of this exam, however used countermeasures to ensure you passed; or were you being untruthful and used countermeasures to "beat" the polygraph examiner?

I answered truthfully except for those questions concerning whether or not I knew anything about polygraphy, whether or not I had taken a polygraph before, whether or not I had researched polygraphy prior to the interrogation (pre-test interview questions). Obviously, because I lied to my interrogator about the truth of those matters, I also lied during the actual charted exam when he asked questions such as 'have you been entirely truthful with me today?' or words to that effect (there were several CQ's along those lines which by necessity I lied as they related to honesty during the pre-test interview-- since I lied during the pre-test about what I knew about polygraphy I had to then lie about lying...)

All the above is moot however, as I consciously controlled both my breathing and my physiological responses throughout the charted exams (there were 3 plus the free magic show). In other words, there was never a measured moment in which I was not manipulating the charts, either through smooth controlled baseline breathing patterns or through spiking my responses artificially when asked control questions.

It's sad I had to do it, but there was no way I would allow an unscientific interrogative crap-shoot dictate my future, and I certainly wasn't about to place my reputation, my future well-being, and most importantly my destiny into the hands of the likes of you.
