Hello I'm new here and have taken a great interest in this site for multiple reasons but I have a question I can't find the answer to and hoping someone here could help.

I believe I suffer from anxiety. Out of nowhere my heart rate will jump for no reason. Would this be sufficient to claim that I shouldn't have a polygraph done? (Am on D.O.C. and they can implement them if they choose to and has already chosen to. So anything to get me out of it will help)

Thank you for your time for everyone who reads this..

Ninj,

I wouldn't put much hope into that as reason to get out of polygraphs. They will most likely say that they have heard this many times before. Probation/parole officers use polygraphs as a 24 hour tail. As Bill noted, it should only be used as a tool and not as a catalyst for a revocation hearing.

My best advice for you would be to read TLBTD in order to protect yourself against false positive results and to be a good citizen and realign yourself with mainstream society, and have a good productive life.
