Control question sequence and Cm's

Is there a control question sequence during a CQT. If you use a cm on two control questions but there is infact three control questions can you still pass. I have a polygraph that is scored by a computer. What if you have questions that you do have an elevated level of response but it does not equal the control question response. DOES that mean you have passed?
