Your question reveals that you are unclear on the concept of CQT polygraphy. There is no absolute number of "control" questions that should be answered "yes" or "no." Context is critical. In short, one should give the expected answer to any particular control question. For example, if the control question is, "Did you ever lie to get out of trouble?" the expected answer is "No." If the control question is, "Are you a completely trustworthy person?" the expected answer is "Yes."

But anyone who might have lied to get out of trouble would see a serious problem with the rest of the test due to the method by which polygraphs are processed / evaluated.
