Polygraph finger contraption?!

I recently took my second polygraph for the FBI and I either failed or came back inconclusive (as I did on the first).  My rejection letter wasn't very specific and neither was the administrator.  The first time I took it I felt fine and had no issues or follow-up interrogation, he simply said I had a few questions that were inconclusive-we didn't even discuss them or identify which ones they were.  The second test ended in an all-out accusation/interrogation in regards to my prior drug history.  Keep in mind I was 100% honest-I admitted to smoking pot, taking acid, and ecstasy (none of which by the way excluded me).  After about 20 min of going in circles with the administrator he showed me the door.  My question to everyone is in regards to the finger contraption.  The first set of questions on the second polygraph I had one set that strapped around my fingers, the second set of questions he put a new set around my fingers, and the 3rd set of questions he attached a sticky pad to my palm and asked me to sit on my hand.  I have poured through these blogs and forums and I can't find anyone else who has experienced something like this.  I thought maybe he was just trying to make me nervous but I am not really sure.  Anyone have any thoughts? Experiences? Ideas?
Thanks!!!
