would i be disqualified for one cocaine and pot use about three years ago. if so then I may as well not even go to my poly test soon. I do not use any more and it was a partying key west thing now it may bite me in the ass.

Hi.. you need to check with the agency.  Drug use cut offs vary from agency to agency... many local LE agencies have a two year limit so have more.. if you don't meet minimum standards a one agency you may at another. should you decide not to go in for the polygraph, at least have the courtesy to call and cancel.. otherwise you will burn a bridge.

Don't let your background scare you off from seeking a LE career.. find an agency where you meet the minimum standards
