========
For a variety of reasons I would like to work for the CIA, specifically as a NOC (long term deep cover) operations officer and am wondering what an appropriate path would be for me to pursue this.

A bit of background:
- I am not of US citizenship (I'm Western European)
- mid 30's
- first degree in business administration, master's degree in international relations
- lived in Canada, US, 3 western european countries, 1 Asian country, worked in countless other countries
- worked as a management consultant in the past and more recently as an executive in the business world for a large US multinational
- travelled extensively in eastern europe/middle east / asia (largely independent i.e. solo travelling; incl. countries such as Turkmenistan, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Belarus, etc.)

So my question is: who/how/what/when/etc. for a non-US citizen to become active for the CIA in such a nature?

Note, I have been in contact with the CIA before (was contacted for intelligence that had come my way while travelling abroad which was potentially interesting for the war on terror) and therefore suspect my details are in a database already somewhere.

Well, for starters, they are probably looking for someone who searches out resources that are pertinent to the subject being researched, and a logical source for information being sought.

I'm no expert, but I believe that all U.S. gov't jobs in that line of work require applicants to already have U.S. citizenship.  Western Europe surely has capable programs of its own.  Would it not make more sense to apply to one of them?

I come from a relatively small Western European country which does not have the drive and reach that for instance a CIA has.

Think carefully of how you want to be contacted.

Go to www.cia.gov and apply online using bogus information.

There will be a field to provide additional or extra information - describe there your intentions and capablities.

You will be contacted by a local point of contact.

I fell upon this site and would recommend people read a paperback and ebook on the subject entitled "NOC - Non-Official Cover: British Secret Operations" by author Nicholas Anderson. It's fictionalized by UK law but you get the idea from his account what life as an NOC entails, and then some.

aceofspades,
Unfortunately, the position available to a non US citizen would be in the capacity of a contract asset or agent in place, however they are usually sought out on a needed basis.

Besides, you have SIS. Its all the same. Unless you are in France or Spain. What languages do you speak?

Over 2.5 years later (date of the original post), how likely do you think it is that ace of whatever is still following the discussion. Hello?
