Has anyone tried the abdominal squeeze on a poly?

I was told by my boss that the polygrapher made him sit on a pad during the test. He didn't know what the pad was for. I did.

Anyway, has anyone tested the abdominal squeeze successfully?

Is it something that could be placed in the book as an alternative to the anal squeeze?

Look for them to come up with some oral device to detect tongue biting.

I don't understand though.  They INSIST that countermeasures DON'T WORK.  So why do they need a "pooper-pucker-detection pad"?

Not in a properly controlled experiment.

No. It may affect the lower pneumo tracing in unintended ways.
