Here in Maine the state criminal justice academy requires a polygraph for full time only. But most departments also polygraph their part time employees too. County and state corrections don't have too but 4 do. Here is a link to the state polygrpah questionarie form. what kind of test is it? These are the only questions they have too ask but I do know the state police has a 300 question test that only a few get asked..http://www.maine.gov/dps/mcja/docs/Basic-Law-Enforcement-Training-Program/Applicant-Intregrity-Polygraph-Questionnaire.doc

That's a pre-polygraph question booklet, which everybody taking a pre-employment test fills out here.  It's designed to ask general questions about a bunch of topics.  It forces departments to do at least some type of background check.

I took a poly a few weeks ago and i was told all the questions asked on the test would come from that because that was the requirement of the justice academy.

The questions would come from what exactly?

The generic polygraph question book (the big one the examiner used) covers most everything, which guides the interview, and yes, that is where we develop the questions (for the most part anyhow).
