I had my first poly recently, and I had read TLBtLD, but didn't employ CM (I'd just screw it up, I'm sure). Plus, I've never done anything worth hiding.
The WORST part of my experience was the BP cuff. Similar to the experience described at http://antipolygraph.org/statements/statement-010.shtml, my examiner put the BP cuff on so tight, my arm turned an unholy shade of purple. After the session was finally over, I saw that I had petechial hemorrhaging on the back of my hand, as well as on my wrist.
He didn't really badger me about any of the answers I gave, but he did yell at me for "not taking the test seriously" - I was trying to regulate my breathing in response to the pain in my arm. His demeanor, combined with the extreme discomfort I was feeling, very nearly made me burst into tears!
I had feared I would fail, or at least be "inconclusive" requiring another exam the following day (which I don't think I could have endured); AMAZINGLY when he returned to the room after "reviewing with supervisor", he said I had passed! I can't imagine how - I couldn't breathe right b/c the cuff was making me SO uncomfortable. My arm still doesn't feel right.

The way you were treated is outright physical abuse. Cutting off your blood flow can cause serious damage. I hope that you people will eventually get tired of being physically and mentally abused by those sadistic idiots and start sueing.

My motto: Roll over and play dead and you get dirt thrown on you. However, if you don't mind the dirt, just keep rolling and they will keep shoveling.
