How accurate are the polyghaphs?

My Husband took one and failed it... Everyone keeps telling me that he didn't do what he is accused of..

Even my own parents..but i can't help but wonder.

he said that the guy giving it was a real jerk and kept antaganizing him during it.

I don't want to believe that he did it.  but those trying to accuse him of this is throwing it back in my face, and they are saying 'see he did do it'.

Polygraph "testing" has no scientific basis: it's a fraud, and you should not rely on it to assess your husband's credibility in any way whatsoever.

Abusive behavior by polygraphers such as your husband described is not unusual. You (and your husband, and your parents, etc.) may wish to peruse AntiPolygraph.org's Frequently Asked Questions list and then download and read AntiPolygraph.org's free book, The Lie Behind the Lie Detector. You will likely be surprised and angered when you learn about the fraudulent nature of polygraphy and the idiotically simplistic methodology whereby truth versus deception is inferred in a polygraph "test."
