Will a previous poly failure keep me from passing a BI?

About 4 years ago I failed a pre-employment poly for a position with the CIA. I was nervous and reacted poorly to the aggressive tactics of the examiner. Now I am currently undergoing a BI for a position with a government contractor that requires TS clearance (no poly). My question is will the results of that poly be available and impact my current BI? Does the CIA share that with anyone doing a BI on me? How long does that record remain in the system?

My concern is A) that it will derail my current job application, and B) that the results of that poly will forever be available to anyone who is doing a BI on me. In an attempt to please the aggressive examiner I went deep into the well and spilled my guts on every conceivable bad thought I had ever had back through my teenage years (I am mid thirty's now).

While I don't know what significance your security clearance adjudicator may attach to your polygraph results, it seems that the CIA does indeed share polygraph records with other federal agencies. In this regard, see CIA Released My Sexual History.
