I have held a DoD secret clearance for 2 years.  Last year I was denied a CIA TS/ISSA based on a few factors but did not lose my DoD clearance.  I am about to marry someone who is not a US Citizen (British citizen) and is here on an H1B Visa (Work Visa).  When I fill out my change of status form will I have to admit to being denied by the agency, or does the investigation just focus on her side of the family?

Since it's just a secret how forgiving is DSS vs the CIA?

Jeffery

Were you flat out denied or just placed in limbo?

What form of message did your denial come in?  Letter?  Verbal from your SSO?
