TS Clearance Require Poly (Navy)?

I am a civilian working for the Navy, and have a Secret clearance currently.  I was just told that I need to upgrade to straight TS (no SCI, etc.).  Does anyone know whether there is any polygraph requirement for a straight TS in the Navy, or what is the criteria under which it might be required?
