There is a technology, the exact specifications of which are known, that would be
extremely effective in interrogations of known and suspected criminals and
terrorists, such that it would prevent a very large portion of crimes and terrorist
acts. The technology is conscience-enhancing malice-weakening neuroactive
chemical mixture. Obviously this technology is far more useful than polygraphs
or voice stress detectors, which only detect anxiety, which means that it can
replace such technologies in many applications. Unfortunately though, there are
several large obstacles to producing and implementing this technology, so it
needs a base of public support, especially among the people in the relevant
professions, in order to do so. The petition to produce and implement this
technology is at the following URL:

I did not create this petition with the specific purpose of replacing the polygraph
and voice stress detectors in mind, but it occurred to me later that this new
technology can be used to correct any false results that they produce.

Due to problems with the petition title that were caused by the petition creation
program, and some oversights made in the text of the petition, I created a new
nearly-identical petition, which is at the updated link above.

May I ask how this premonition of supposedly "superior chemical technology" came about? Where did the "strong neuropsychological evidence" come from?  Testing humans? apes? Is this basically another dirty "truth serum"...Everyone's brain functions differently, chemicals and everything entailed.  This would bring up more questions of validity than even polygraphs and CVSA.  The other two do not alter the conscience state of mind.  This sounds like you'd be feeding someone shots of tequila and waiting for a slip, or hoping that they will remain tranquil.  How about they just inject people with massive amounts of morphine and interrogate them?  I say all this, but I'd bet my bottom dollar that you don't need a petition for this, because if its worth anything it is already being used..
