A question was posted to this forum by "matt c." asking whether the Detroit Police Department requires a pre-employment polygraph examination as a hiring requirement. The file created for this post somehow became corrupted, and had to be deleted, so we are re-posting matt c.'s question here.

It is my understanding that, as is also the case in Minnesota, pre-employment polygraph screening by state and local government agencies is prohibited by law in Michigan.
