I took a polygraph test today,over someone setting both my cars on fire,,and the officer said i failed,

Then he said i was hidding something,,I asked which question he thought i lied about
but he said he cant tell thatfrom the test.

I know I DIDN'T LIE,

He then started yelling ,and said he was tired of hearing my "bullshit".

He said my body language was all wrong from the moment i stepped in the door,

He said i slipped about a dozen times before he even hook me to the machine.

Ive done nothing but cooperate ,but i never expected to be freated like garbage by a PA state trooper,

Now im sitting at home with terrible chest pains.

    can someone tell me what the deal is?

I think I deserve  an apology at some time for talking to me like that,,Ive always had alot of respect for state police,but
now im not really sure.
please help

Unless you have been officially charged, you don't have to even talk with the police.  Talk to a lawyer,  and do not talk to the police until you do.

The polygraph has no scientific validity and is used by police to try to intimidate a confession out of you,  or otherwise try to get information out of you without a lawyer present.  

Police officers have admitted to that on this and other boards.

If your police officer pals continue to dwell on the polygraph farce, refer them to the above links and ask why police officers would say things like that if the test is used simply to "see if you're telling the truth or not"?   Invite them to this board, we'd love to chat with them.

Then insist that the next time they want to talk with you, you insist your attorney be present.  

Let us know what happens.

well ,,,state police just informed me ,i must have done it and they are not looking anywhere else.
simply because of this test.

They have become very rude with me,and are talking to my insurance co. to stop any claim to which i am intitled.
and they are trying to find a way to arrest me for this.

Have i stepped into the twighlight zone?

As T.M. Cullen correctly noted, polygraph "testing" has no scientific basis. It's quite common for truthful persons to wrongly fail. Indeed, the best field studies suggest that "if a subject fails a polygraph, the probability that she is, in fact, being deceptive is little more than chance alone; that is, one could flip a coin and get virtually the same result for a positive test based on the published data."

I think you would be well advised to seek legal counsel and not speak further with the police without a lawyer by your side. It appears to me the police have overstepped their boundaries and you have a good lawsuit. If they had evisence of your guilt, I assure you you would have already been arrested. They can't arrest you on polygraph edidence alone. And to contact your insurance company without hard evidence is against the law. Sue them, Bud.
