George,
I have read your book and I have to say it is very informative.  You truly have brought light to a subject that is most troublesome.  I have been in the military for some time now.  But i am now faced with a Counterintelligence Scope "Test".  I fear that my drug use in high school may become a problem.  Do they ask any questions about drug history in a CI Scope poly or as you mentioned a TES "test"?  I have no fear of any of the "spy" questions, but do they pry into any other parts of your past?  Thank you for your time and all your help, it is much appreciated.  I just hope that the mistakes of my youth will not affect my future as a patriotic serviceman and citizen.

polygraph4u,

Although I'm not George, I'll chime in to post a reply to your question as I have some degree of knowledge and experience in the area you ask about.

In my opinion, I think it is very unlikely you will be faced with drug questions in your polygraph if it is indeed a pure CI-scope polygraph. Questions will center around foreign contacts, contacts with foreign intelligence services, etc... A drug question is more of a lifestyles polygraph question (or a specific issue polygraph, as it was for me). To my knowledge, CI polygraphs don't go into drug territory. Though perhaps some on this board might refute that...

Good luck.

I've had both a full-scope and CI poly.  The first inquired about drug use, the second made absolutely no mention of it.
